Swapalease and MSDs
Was wondering if anyone who used multiple security deposits had used also Swapalease to get out of a lease, and if so, how you handled the MSDs with the purchaser.
Thanks. Edit: The minute I posted this, I realized I probably should have put it in another forum. Sorry about that. |

I say potential because there are times where you can lose the MSD. So make sure you don't advertise it as a certainty. |

Thanks. I was trying to think of a way not to lose it, since it's a fair bit of cash, but I'm assuming one of the main reasons people like Swapalease is that they can step into a car without up front cash. So asking for the MSDs would likely scare off prospective buyers.

you'll see that many cars listed on swapalease ask for an initial payment to assume the lease, likely to recover some of the cap cost reduction and/or MSD.
I'd ask for the $$ up front and maybe negotiate down when you find interested buyers |
