Non-Sport to Sport Steering wheel

My E90 came with a horrid non-sport steering wheel, so I found one on the forums and I couldn't pass up on the deal except it didn't come with an airbag. So I took to Google and found an eBay seller who was selling them for $280 shipped. Quite hesitant on something so important I decided to take the minor chance and ordered it. It was delivered to my door on the 6th business day, pretty quick if you ask me. A local buddy (danielfastv6) helped me install the set up this weekend and I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I know most of you aren't going to like my aggressive color scheme on my interior so have fun. I've added pictures of a "unbagging" of the airbag if anybody decides to go with this buyer for an airbag as well.

Nice. I recently bought an 9e0 and will have to make this change soon.

Mind sharing where you bought the airbag? eBay user name or link?

Thanks, it wasn't that bad just disconnected the negative and watched a youtube video on how to get the airbag off.

Thanks!

Might bite the bullet, purchase the bag and wait on a steering wheel to come around. It's close to impossible to find a wheel w/ bag at a decent price. This seems like the better option

Off topic but that gear level that you vinly wrapped red.. does the chrome part detach from the lever itself or did you just pull it off only?

I sanded the down all the way. I couldn't take the trim off so I paint it gloss red and masked all of the leather parts. When you tape leave like 3mm on the corners where the trim is and push it in with a thin tool to get best results.
