E92 Tpms Sensors

Do they all have them? I have a set of 19's in my garage and was going to mount them up but I don't want to take the sensors off the OEM wheels.

My car is a 335I 9/06 production.

Just look at your OE wheels. If the valves are aluminum, you have sensors.

Do you think any tire shop can swap them out?

Most professional tire shops can remove the tpms and reinstall them on new wheels. You're looking at getting 8 tires dismounted, and at least 4 remounted and balanced.

Why not get some new sensors, and keep the old ones in the oem wheels for later use? Then you only have to get 4 tires dismounted instead of 8.

That's what I did. For me, I didn't want my stock tires crippled with no TPM sensors. And, in the future, if i decided to sell my new rims, I'd be left without them. So, I'd have to buy them again, or take them out of my aftermarket rims which means that I'd end up paying the same amount anyway, or possibly more.

I completely agree.

Like the others have said the cost of sensors (under $50 per corner) is probably equal or less than having that many tires dismounted. If you can't get sensors from your dealer at a decent price, I can sell you a set.

I got my sensors from Gary. I needed them fast and they shipped out right away.

i'm buying new wheels. i guess this answers the question of whether i should swap tpms sensors from my oem or not. since the price is similar to getting my oems dismounted, i'll go with new sensors on new wheels ftw!
