Steering wheel mod

Ok, here's a good one for you.

The only think that's really ugly on my BMW is the horrible vinyl cover that sits in the middle of the steering wheel, you know. The horrible shiny cheap looking bit.

Now what do you recommend I can do to fix this ?

well the steering wheel is leather, all good so far, then the centre is vinyl, I'm probably gonna get hated, but I bet you all notice this now !

The reason I raised it is that even the mighty M3 has the same cheap looking part. There must be some way to cover/replace this.

??

I think the air bag cover / horn push looks all right in black. It's the horrible silver three spoke cover around it that looks naff (non M Sport models).

Regards

Chris

Make sure you have a clear understanding that Carlos doesn't love your wood

If I change my plastic bits I refuse to get my car remapped in case BMW throw out the warranty

In fact, I'm so annoyed with them, they've ruined the engine by putting cheap plastic bits on the steering wheel.

Hate to mention also, but every time you fold the mirrors in and out you lose 1 bhp

OMG, really ?! I'm going to stop that now. Either that or check my mirrors every other day. Some days they are in and some they are out. I'm definitely not getting it remapped now
