How To Turn Headlights Off Sitting Inside Car Listening To Stereo

When you get in the car and turn on the power the headlights come on. I can turn the display off by using the voice command "display off" but what about the headlights (angel eyes)? Anyway to turn them off but still keep the power on?

How about switching the light switch to off.

You can turn on the stereo without hitting the power. It turns itself off though in 20 minutes or so.

Lightbulb sitting in total darkness...

Turn off the car completely!

i mean completely!

Then just hit the radio button, and voila!

enjoy

OK, Thanks for all of the responses. After I posted this I got swamped at worked and just looked this morning.

The obvious solution, just turning off the lights doesn't work unless you uncheck the DRL box in settings. This works fine and solves the problem. If the DRL box is checked in settings, turning off the lights at the switch doesn't work. The lights will still remain on in this situation.

Thank you all.......

Funny, I tried your tip after shutting the car completely down. For me, pressing the Radio button near the iDrive knob did nothing, but if I pressed the volume button/wheel then the radio and iDrive screen came on.

That's what it does when you have the rest of the car (minus engine) running as well. It's just nice to know you can wait in the car with just the radio on and no DRLs. That always annoyed the crap out of me.
