Indicator (Lane Change) Signal Duration
Does anyone know what setting controls the duration of the indicator (lane change) signal (before it clicks). I searched through several cheats and even CAF files but haven't found it.
Any help appreciated |

Not quite sure what you mean by "before it clicks". If you mean single turn signal vs triple turn signal setting, that is under Settings>Lighting. This controls how many times the signal will flash when you tap the lever (without engaging it).

Nope didn't change the second one, PIA_DEFAULT_TIPPBLINKEN is to alter the flashing behaviour, i believe one is 'normal' while the other one has a more rapid flash (not sure which is which actually)... so I kept mine default to Einfachblinken

Einfach is simple/plain and Mehrfach is multiple/repeated (according to Google translate), so I don't think the setting has anything to do with the speed of the flashing. I'll restore this value on my car and see if I notice any difference. Thanks! |

Starting in 2017 this coding does not work, I suppose it *may* be possible to flash your FEM_BODY to an earlier firmware version but it has so many dependencies it does not seem likely to work.

Tried doing this in my 2015 and as pointed out above the setting no longer exists.

I just did it a few weeks ago on my 2015. It's a common enough change that Bimmercode has it in the main FEM coding menu without having to go to expert mode.

That's partly true. The problem is that BMW has at some time disabled the option (at least for more than 3 flashes) while leaving the parameter in the system. My 2014 F30 was OK set to 4 flashes until I had the whole car reprogrammed, then it wouldn't work. The I-Step change was F020-14-03-503 => F020-19-03-530

I haven't had my car at the dealer since the end of my second year of ownership, partly because I didn't want to drive an hour and a half to get a $40 oil change, partly because I'd seen reports that they might 'upgrade' my software, wiping out all my coding, even eliminating some coding options. My I-Step isn't broken, so I'm not going to fix it.
