Wheel alignment
Was going to bring my car to Firestone in CT to have my car aligned after getting my summer tires on...however they couldn't do it because they have to put weights in the car before balancing...now I am doing at the dealership for double the cost...do all e90s and 92s need weights before aligning?

The dealerships don't use weights even though they are supposed to. It will align perfectly on a hunter machine just like any other car. I had my car at the dealership 2 weeks ago for an alignment and with the monthly coupon I had it done for $70.

They no longer use the weights if they have the newest system. They have to measure the ride height at each wheel and then the software will adjust alignment targets based on suspension option. The ride height will be on the BMW printout.

That's not how my dealer did it. They aligned it like any other shop would with the hunter machine. I was standing there in the shop the whole time as they did it.
