Storing Tel Numbers
I have the BT but no I-drive, I can use my wife's phone and the contacts show in the A-Z but when I use my phone there is nothing there.
is there a way of storing the numbers using wife's phone into the radio so always appear even when I use my phone? Read manual but not clear. I have voice commanded some though. Thanks

I'm pretty sure that all N series phones use Symbian OS which doesn't work well with BM bluetooth.
I'm sure I've read somewhere that there is a fix - I think you have to bluetooth the contacts to the phone, but I'm not 100% I'm sure there will be someone on here that has more information for you...

On my E46 it used to remember the previously paired phone's numbers sometimes but I bet they fixed that. Time for a new, more compatible phone?

The car doesn't actually store anything, it simply opens the phones contacts list remotely. I had the N73 before switching to an SE K800i, frustrated was NOT the word!

Nathan - are you sure it does that each time rather than storing temporarily ? - that would seem slow? On the E46 the car most definitely did store contacts as I ended up accidentally calling the beemer salesman's mates the first time I used it!

But to "use it" you would have need you phone in the car, so it might have talked to the phone and opened the contact list, of am I talking Bollocks. While on the subject, does anyone know a cheap source for the E90/92 phone cradles? |

I think it may've been a "feature" of E46 only

My Sony k800i is - so unless they've screwed something u pI'd expect the w880i will be an evolution of that?

1- The W880i works fine- full addressbook transfer (works fine with my idrive), signal strength & no problem with incoming & outgoing calls. However... 2- There is some chance your Nokia N73 may still work, with a bit of software installation in your phone. The update is a Nokia release & is intended to allow phonebook transfer from a lot of Nokia phones (inc the N73) to the Nokia 810 car phone (read as the BMW Bluetooth system). Have a look here & here & good luck! All the best. Viv |

Yes - but the numbers were not stored so I did not have contact list as it reads from phone only

eBay. There are always a few on there. I sold two from my previous E60 and they fetch very near to the (high) BMW dealer price. I would think that the cradles are common between BMW models.
