From Ashy to Classy!
Hello all. I've been an inactive member on this forum for a couple of years as I am previously a G35 guy and always wanted an E92 335i. I set up my account with the mindset that someday I would have 1. At the time I had an 04 G35 coupe, black with tan interior. I racked up the miles on that and decided to look into another vehicle. At the time even high mileage 335i coupes were upwards of 30k. So I ended up going with another G coupe. 07 with tan Interior. I wasn't satisfied with the looks or the power so I did full bolt ons and a tune that took me from 223whp to 271whp. Not much by BMW standards, but that's a huge jump for an NA G35. As well as some visual modifications before I could do a full restyling.
I was loving it again. Made her a lil sexier with lots of plans for the future and I got some more power out of her before a full rebuild... then this happened... 6 car accident on 495 north in MD, THE DAY BEFORE MY BDAY! Lol. Thank gawd no one was seriously hurt and I walked away with just a neck sprain. But my baby was totalled. The driver at faults insurance paid off my loan and put a few dollars in my pocket. So on the hunt for my next vehicle I went. I almost bought a 3rd G coupe. Fully built engine and tranny, supercharged putting 440 to the wheels, show car type, hardly ever driven. But right before I bought it the guy had issues with the title. Forced to venture back again... I found myself looking at 335i coupes and sedans at the top of my list. Then followed by E46 M3s, G37S Coupes and Hyundai Genesis coupes last. After sifting through 100s of cars nationwide I found my new baby! Meet Katja... 2007 E92 M Sport. Silver with black interior. 62K miles full warranty until November. Excellent condition, garage kept, never seen snow, immaculate interior. All services done at BMW with pristine records. Had HPFP replaced once. This car is amazing. I'm a true car enthusiasts and have had my mod list for this car in my phone since the day I fell in love with it. Can't wait to start working on it!!! |

JB4 is definitely at the top of my list. BMS DCI next then catless DPs. That should hold me over until I pick up the rest of my bolt ons. I love that this car has a true dual exhaust off the factory floor and I only have to order some quad tips from Cyba. Already decided to go with the double layered black chrome tips.
The G with bolt ons was pretty quick but this thing is a different kind of fast. And this is in stock form... I can only imagine after full bolt ons and a tune. By the way, does anyone have an indy shop they can recommend to do my walnut blasting within the DC, MD, NoVA area? |

i dont think your year offered M sport package, i believe it was 09+ with M sport. you just have sport package. M sport has M tech bumper and rear bumper and steering wheel, etc.

Excellent. Thanks for clarifying that for me sir. I plan on swapping out the front, sides and rear bumper anyway. I really like the look of the M3 styled E92s. Prefer the aggressive, sporty look over the clean minimalist styling it has now.

Nice. I love the G. I will more than likely end up buying another 1 down the road to fully restore. It's my 1st love a la Supra, NSX, 300Z. This BMW is something else though. Can't wait to start modding. I can however wait for the numerous known problems to arise... but they say you have to Pay to PLAY.

More than likely you have. I live in Laurel and commute roughly 450 miles per week visiting stores from La Plata up to Bel Air, over to Gaithersburg and everything in between. I'm all over the Beltway weekly... |

I love these kind of threads. Katja looks amazing, then and now. One question though: With all those miles traveled around MD/DC/VA, how has she faired as far as maintenance?
