My car color is Jet Black.....Oh no it's Black Sapphire Metallic

So I decided to decode my VIN to find out the engine type and such. I was surprised when it came out that the color is BSM and not Jet Black just like what the dealer disclose on the document, bought it used BTW. Now I either have to find someone here locally who has a Jet Black and compare it or maybe just drive up to the dealer (hmmm...I wonder how much they would charge me to do that!!!

) and find out. Its a good thing I haven't order anything color match yet...

Pretty sure you should immediately be able to tell in some sunlight. BSM is obviously metallic and you'll see all the tiny metal flakes in the paint, unlike in Jet Black where it'll be just plain black.

Yeah, I have BSM and it's not real noticeable in the dark, but in the daylight it'll have little green and purple flakes to it. It's actually really nice.

I'm gonna have to wait till it stop raining here since I haven't seen the sun in like.....Gosh, I can't even remember when...LOL! Thanks for the comment guys, I was actually wishing I had the BSM so its like my wish came true...hehehe!

JET BLACK is non metallic ...

BSM is metallic .... (That's why it is called Black Sapphire Metallic)

BS has a charcoal look almost the darkest gray and metallic so it's impossible to not tell the difference.

This is BSM in direct sunlight. You can clearly see the metallic bits. JB does not have the metallic bits.

Maybe it's just me, but my BSM looks much more black than my friends BSM F10 M5. So weird.
