It's impossible to tell just by looking at it. A dealership should have a master set and may be willing to try different keys until they find the one that fits. They may charge you for that service though since it could take some time.

that looks like a McGard or similar lock not a BMW lock

get a set of "Bolt-Outs" and remove all and buy a new set (if you feel the need to have new locks)

I had a similar problem with my son's Jetta. I took it to a competent welder and he welded lugnuts to the locks. Put a lug wrench on the nut and spun them all out. I replaced the locks with regular VW lugnuts I had around otherwise I would be buying new locks. It didnt hurt the wheels at all. The locks on his Jetta sat way down in the lug hole. Im suprised the guy was able to get a weld on them.

I had my local Discount Tire remove some wheel locks on a used car I bought that came with no key. The thing they used chewed up the locks pretty good but that was irrelevant. Call a couple tire shops in your area; i bet this is a situation they deal with regularly.

^this. i had to do the same when i lost mine. i actually went to the parts department and provided model year, VIN# and they gave me the schpeel. then the parts manager had me pull into the service area and he went through each key in his set. they didn't have the one i needed in stock so he sold me his.

I have a solution. May not work on that type of lug nut but works very well on others. Get a 20mm socket and a hammer. If the nut is standard in circumference then it should fit snug around the lug nut. Take the hammer and hammer it on further. Then take your socket wrench attach and leverage the nut off.

Good luck op and no i do not steal peoples wheels......

Oh if 20mm does not work try other socket sizes till you find on that fits snug, then hammer on and follow the rest of my directions. be prepared to ruin some tools so use cheap stuff.

I hate those gay shapes. always break. That's why you should get OEM. cheap and only 10 bucks maybe less. simple design. hard to break in if you don't got the key.

I have the same type of wheel lock in my car. I just purchased my CPO 535 from the dealer. I just had the same issue and I am pissed off. Is the only solution to go to a bmw dealer to get this checked out and have them try all their wheel lock?

A tire shop can remove them easily.
