Just thought i'd share:

I always hate having to remove the strut bolt just so I can adjust my struts. I have tried needle nose pliers, right angle pliers and very small wrenches (like 4mm) without much luck. I once even over torque that bolt and snapped the head off, thank god I didn’t mar the threads and was able to extract the remaining bolt. I drilled two adjacent holes and used a tamperproof screw driver bit (off topic). I even tried to cut down the original plastic adjuster knobs and make them fit only to find out there isn't enough clearance with the strut brace.

My solution was to take a narrow piece of steel, and cut a 1/8" slot (die grinder and cut of wheel) so it can fit on the adjustment tab. I cut one slot parallel and one perpendicular to the tool. The perpindicular side can be used when space get tight around the strut bolt.

It works well and makes adjustments in half the time.

Edit: found out the perpindicular side cut isn't needed, the parallel slot works fine by itself.

Hmmm. Had these installed a few weeks ago and I don't have the boot on top of mine. Its bare. Is that a bad thing? Did my mechanic forget to put them on????

The boot doesn't fit because of the tab, i drilled a hole in them so they fit.

Without the boot, dirt can make it down to the ball bearing and cause premature wear.

With the boot off I can use the koni knob for adjusting. Didn't have to cut the knob or anything and I'm clueless as of why yours didn't fit.

It could be the difference in Coupe and Sedan. Where the strut brace bolts onto the strut tower, there isn't enough space to get the little tool i made under the bar.
