What happens after certified warranty ends?

Hello,

So my car warranty is going to end July 2014. I will probably have around 70K miles on it.

My question is. Sell the car then for nothing???
Or is there an option for more extended warranty? Used car warranty?

Thanks!

What do you mean sell the car for nothing? Your first option makes no sense. Just because the car is out of warranty doesn't mean the car is worthless.

Poppycock!

Don't listen to slider86. The car is definitely worth nothing after warranty. However, being the nice guy that I am, I will take it off of your hands for $100+shipping.

After the warranty ends, DO NOT PAY SOMEONE TO HAUL IT AWAY FOR RECYCLING. You should never pay a fee when they come and take the car away. To tell you the truth, there are a lot of valuable parts on the vehicle. A new exhaust costs over $6k retail. I would ask for at least $1,000, and settle for $250.

If he takes your offer, what if you don't show up for the car? He should not have to pay shipping. Now he's got a worthless car, and he doesn't even get his $100..........

DRIVE IT. These cars if taken good care of will run for quite a while. I have 158,000 miles on my 06 330I. I plan on taking it well over 200,000 miles. Your car is fine, drive it and enjoy it

All it means is you won't have a warranty. A 335 is still a 335, people purchase them all the time w/out warranty. If you're really worried about repair bills then yes, sell it and look at another BMW with warranty.

OP should really do the math. If your car is running well (as it should as the warranty ends because all faults should be dealt with), why would you want to take on another car payment ($600-700/month) to avoid the chance that you might have to shell out a few grand over the next few years to replace some worn parts like a water pump, etc? Makes no sense, though I do appreciate all the great lease returns on the market where someone else has eaten the depreciation.

What's this? SubzeroVR4 is crazy for offering $300.

As I would hate for this worthless car to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I--despite my better judgment and purely out of good will--will offer $500 to take this off of your hands.

But one would have to be crazy like myself to assume such a headache of problems to come with this car. $650 is my price.
