Back-up camera has to be turned on each time

Ever since I got my 335ix back from recall service (NAV and general SW update), the back-up camera has to be turned on each time I put the transmission (auto) in reverse. It's like it always reverts back to the 'sensor view' by default. Any idea why? My wife's profile doesn't have this issue.

Yep, happened to me as well. Took delivery of the car with rev camera auto on when engaging reverse. After the software download, I have to press the iDrive knob.

Thats good to know. I stopped by service advisor to ask about installing the M-performance grill. They told me I had a recall for a navi update and stuff... Guess I won't be taking it in for a while now, at least until it's fixed.

I can't believe how annoying this is. The setting sticks for my wife's profile, just not mine!

Same here, it depends on which key they used when updating the software. Kinda strange how it depends on the key used. I still use the old key now.

Mine did this from new, apparently no amount of software tweaking got it working. Eventually the technician tried disconnecting the battery for 6 hours. When nav booted back up problem solved.

BMW needs to hire me to run their bug testing/regression testing department.

Question for anyone experiencing this same problem: do you have either the DVDinMotion code and/or NavDisclaimerDisable code enabled? I ask because I'm taking my BMW in for routine service on Wednesday and disabled both of these codes to avoid any confrontations. On a whim, I switched back to my primary profile and put it in Reverse and, what do you know, the backup camera was on without me needing to enable it. Any chance this could be related?

If this solved it I wonder if you just reset your nav yourself whether it will work. Press the volume control knob for like 20 seconds and that should reset iDrive.
