Dirty stuff, can't get it off?
I've been washing my car once every week or so since I got it and over the time I've noticed little brown spots that doesn't seem to come off like dirt with the carwash soup, I scrubbed a little harder today during the wash but it didn't really do any good. These spots aren't visible usually and can only be found if you are looking carefully close-up, but I have absolutely no idea what they heck they are.
I'm planning to do some polishing and waxing soon but I don't want to those spots to be sealed under the wax. What are they? What to do? |

Thanks I'll get some. I think they are from the tree where I park under at work, because I remember when I used to play around trees when I was a little and I'd get these clear glue-type things from under the skins of the trees. They are usually clear and very sticky, hard to wash off. It feels and looks like the same thing on my paint, except they are small dots and all over the roof, hood and trunk, nothing on side panels.

Clay bar or some type of paint cleanser....Bug and Tar remover are very harsh on the clear coat.

honestly cant see much from the pictures. nothing to be afraid of with clay just make sure you wash you car and completely dry it and use the directed amount of lubrication. If it starts to stick add more lube. Remember to use as little pressure as needed to remove the spots. Alot of pressue could be bad especially since you have a dark color.
