It still seems like whatever route preference, the damn NAV wants to take me off the freeway earlier than I would normally exit, even when traffic is moving well.

The owner's manual really doesn't explain the differences all too well. At least the NAV in my E46 would route me the freeway route as fastest. But of course it assumed clear sailing.

The manual does mention you might get routed a different way than you'd normally go--man that's an understatement.
