Car was in a accident.. Can i still buy certification after factory warranty is up?
So my car was in an accident a year ago, nothing too major, no airbags or frame damage.
After my 4 year factory warranty comes to an end, I wanted to get the extended certified warranty or whatever bmw offers, but someone told me I cant do so because the car was in an accident. is this true? So at the end of my 4 year warranty I cant buy any extended warrnaty from bmw like the extra 2 year 100k mile? |

You should be able to CPO the car. Keep in mind, CPO covers mechanic damage mot physical.

Depending on the extent of the damage, you can get id CPO'd. Cosmetic damage doesn't stop a Dealer from CPOing a car.

If everything was done up to bmw spec upon inspection, meaning not a rinky dink shop that replaced parts in the accident then you will be able to get the CPO once you pay for it.
I suggest you buy the extended while in factory warranty so that you will not be flipping a coin when it comes to certifying it. You can't get your car to become a CPO car unless you sell it back to the dealer and they certify it for you and sell it back to you. |
