It is, i can imagine is painfull none the less to watch it get ruined by hail and not be able to do much about it. And most if not all insurance companies wont really pay you for any costmetic aftermarket mods that get damaged during a hail storm (if that was the case)

That's my car. There is an entire ~5-6 page thread about it on here somewhere, and that video is going to be on The Discovery Channel soon. The car is fine now, insurance took care of everything. Pics in my sig/garage. Total was around $15,000 in damage to this car, and $16,000 to the Challenger.

And yes, my "priorities" are all wrong. I DEFINITELY should have risked my life to run out into softball-sized hail falling at terminal velocity to pull my car into the garage. Sigh.

Damnnnn I'm sorry to hear, I ran across the video on youtube and pictured it happening to me in my head. Sucks when shit like that happens that you cant control and you're there to see it happen..but I'm glad it all worked out good for you and I don't blame you for not going out there because if hail can do that to a car u wouldn't like to get caught in it.

On the brightside your car will be featured on tv, not everyday your bimmer makes it to nat geo

No one here really knows what they'll do until it happens.
Fuckin hailstorms come out of nowhere sometimes.
Life first, car second. I see nothing wrong with her priorities

Hahaha... The other day we got pea-sized hail for about thirty seconds and I thought about your car. That's one reason I was glad to move from Denton. Too much with the tornadoes and hail. Still miss Whataburger though.

Yes, it was definitely painful to watch that happen -- especially to both of my cars at the same time. Worse though was being without my car for over 3 months while it was being fixed. In fact we didn't have both cars back home until about 2 weeks ago (the storm happened in June). We both got some nice upgraded parts covered by Allstate though, and we each ended up getting a bit of cash in our pockets for overages when it was all over with

I had the same thing happen about 2 years ago to my 2009 F150. Was so sad to watch my baby get the crap beat out of her. That being said she was traded for the 335 so I don't think I got a bad deal.

The wife has a Suburban so there was no need for me to have a truck anymore. That and I missed having a BMW since I left Germany in 2003. I had a German spec 1987 M3 there and loved it.
