An observation of suspension height
Picked up the new car this week, and noticed on the weekend as i approached the car that it seemed to be leaning to the right as you look at it from behind.
The car has adaptive M suspension (which is great on comfort btw), anyhow the observation is that the suspension seems to have dropped 1 inch on the rear left and 1 1/2 inches on the rear right compared to both front heights (which both left and right are identical in height) - being the weekend i cant call the dealer until tomorrow morning and crossing fingers that the suspension on these cars is adjustable - i would prefer if both rear heights matched the front I cannot imagine what has caused this as the car has more weight at the front. BTW this is done without anyone sitting in the car. Just wondering if anyone has seen this ? |

I highly doubt the car height is adjustable with those suspension. Could it be park on uneven payment, check tires for equal pressure.

looks uneven even with a person on left side of car, the car is on a level ground, i took the measurements from the center of the wheel (the cross of the bmw emblem) to the edge of the body wheel arch, the front ones are spot on 15 inches from center to wheel arch (both left and right) my rear left is 14 inches and rear right 13 1/2 inches - you can clearly see from a distance on side view that the car is inclined towards the back - and from the rear, also at a distance, you can see the car sagging to the right.
Will ring the dealer today when they open up, will post here the outcome for those interested |

Nope they said it was how their cars were. No chance to adjust and they measured other models and all similar but not as bad. I just don't look at the car from directly behind.

I have M adaptive suspension and the car does not lean. I think they're just trying to keep you happy so they don't have to do warranty work. I hate dealerships!
