How often do you wash your car
what steps do you take when you wash your car and how long does it take you? I usually wash my car every 2 days, i have to keep it clean its a huge eye sore when my car is dirty. I usually spend anywhere from 40 minutes to an Hour at the car wash, i begin by soaking the wheels with tire cleaner, and then i spray the whole car down with hi pressure soap, then rinse it, and use a California Car Blade to dry it, then i go over it with a towel, and then i finally wax my car with turtle spray wax everytime i wash it, i love when my paint is sparkling and smooth then i use Meguiars Hot tire shine on my tires and dry my wheels to finish it up. heres a clean shot

couple months ago my car was rear ended on the freeway and the car was so dirty that the other car's license plate imprinted on my bumper, and the state patrol was able to trace down the guy that hit and run so i rarely wash my car
I do clean my interior 3-4 times a month though. |

Sounds like you really take care of your car boostjunky
I usually begin by washing and soaping the wheels as this takes the longest for me. I then try to wash my car during a time when not in direct sunlight, and if it is in direct sunlight, I immediately bring it in the garage to dry it after the wash. Anyways, I water down the car, use Adams car wash soap, rinse, then dry every nook and cranny of the car. Drying alone can take upwards of an hour to complete. All in all, about 1.5 hours from preparation to putting away all the supplies. As far as vacuuming the rugs go, I do that every wash or in between if they get really dirty. Oh yeah, I try to wash my car about every 4-5 days or so. |

Way less often than I should.
I usually avoid any automatic car washes but do occasionally visit during the winter.

Every week, usually Sunday or Monday.
Just basic washes; start with wheels, go onto paint, hand dry. Maybe about once every 5-6 weeks I bust out polisher/wax/clay.

I try to do the exterior biweekly. If it rains, I'll try to wash it the same weekend. I wax the car three or four times a year with hard wax. I do the interior monthly, it's tideous and I keep it pretty clean. I don't do anything abnormal, just back out into the driveway, bring out my radio, and start washing it. You all know how to wash a car.

During the summer? Usually once every few weeks, assuming the dirt and grime isn't too noticable. Which, on a gray car, tends to take quite a while to get noticable. And I too use one of those California car blades, and use a cotton rag to dab the areas that still have water left. I tend not wipe or rub anything along the surface if at all possible.
Winter time? I use those touchless automatic car washes once a week, or weather permitting. Basically, anything that has a nice underbody spray. |

I clean it once a week.
Wheels get done first using a strong acid free cleaner and soft brushes. Snow foam the whole car then rinse. Two bucket method using Megs shampoo and lambswool mits. Detailing brush used for things like grilles and fog light area. Dried using microfibre towels. Final wipe down with a detailing spray, which is werkstat glos at the moment. This takes me 2-3 hours but is well worth it in the end. Interior gets cleaned every 2 weeks now. This also takes me around 2 hours to complete. I show her love and care, as she deserves. |

Every Saturday unless it's raining.
Optimum NoRinse on everything including the wheels. I've got it down to a science so it takes me around 30 minutes. Every month or so (or as needed) I take the wheels off the car and clean the backs of the wheels and the calipers. Once or twice a year I get a full detail to remove any water spots or scratches in the paint. Jet Black cars are a full time job. I don't know why I keep buying them.

Yes, it is. My detailer recommended it and I like it a lot. It's not really "no water" as you mix the solution with water in order to wash it. But you don't need to rinse it off. It's sponge-on, dry off, done. One section at a time, and it looks awesome when finished.
