Newbie Member saying Hi :)

Good Morning guys. I'm new to the BMW scene having had Ford Cosworth's and RS Turbo's for the last decade.

Anyway I though it was about time I moved away from the Fords and get myself a nice BMW around 6 months ago.

Bought myself a nice 330d M Sport

Took me a little while to find one with what I wanted, black Dakota leather I drive pro nav,etc. Really pleased with it so far, done a few jobs already, removed swirl flaps and new brakes all round to name a couple.

I think a set of coil overs and 19" CSL's and it will be complete.

Very nice. Love that grey. BTW what are swirl flaps?

Cheers mate. Swirl flaps are in the intake manifold and have a habit of working loose and getting sucked through into the engine and goosing it. A lot of people remove them as a precaution and put blanks in there place.

Is that color gray? Can you also tell me what the swirl flaps do in the intake that you removed?

As above really. They are ment to aid efficiency. Mine are removed and I have not noticed any drop in efficiency or performance, and I also have the piece of mind they are not going to kill my engine.

The colour is sparkling gray metallic.
