My Steptronic doesnt work?

what the heck is going on?! I have the 09' 335i. my paddle shifters work, but when I use the shifter itself, downshift works, but upshift doesnt..
any ideas?!

It is a common problem. The wires underneath the shifter get all crunched and need re soldering. It is covered if you are under warranty.

you can also fix it yourself in less than an hour with a little extra wire, crimp connectors, and tape.

I just popped the shifter area off the other day to put CF fabric over the wood grain. It is easier than it looks to get that all up and off, should take a few minutes, or about 5 doing it nice and easy.

I just got it back from the dealer. $950 parts and labor.
