Making a trip over the border...

I'm planning to make a trip over to the US from Canada. Buffalo, NY to be exact. Picking up some tires for my parents' vehicle and rotors and pads for my 07 328i sedan.*

I was wondering if anyone can suggest where I can get premium blanks from? I don't do any aggressive driving.*

Anything wrong with the rotors from advanceautoparts? Another option I looked at was R1 concepts. Any feedback on their rotors and pads?

I've also notice that certain websites ask me if my 07 was built before or after september 07. Apparantly the size are different between those time periods. I'm not sure if this applies to Canadian models. Any one know more about this?

You should get a PO box in Buffalo, then you can order decent stuff and go pick it up.

I have tried a bunch of stuff over the years and personally for normal daily driving, nothing beats the OEM BMW stuff!

I ship my items to CBI. Some stuff I pick up from the BMW dealership but since I'm heading there to pick up some tires I might as well pick up some rotors to save more. R1 concepts I can get premium rotors and posi-quiet pads for $400 after taxes and it will cost me $670 at the dealer. So this trip will probably save me at least $300 including the money saved on the tires.
Just not sure what the quality is like for the premium r1 concepts rotors but it has have lots of positive reviews on here.
Also it's not like BMW manufacture the rotors. I wonder who manufacture their rotors.

Does anyone know if the Canadian model 2007 328i front rotors are 300mm or 312mm?

Based on Tirerack there are two different sizes:

For models from 2007 to 9/07 with 300mm diameter front discs.

For models from 9/07 to 2008 with 312mm diameter front discs.

Does anyone know if the BMW OEM brake pads are semi-metallic or ceramic? I've read that you should use rotors that are compatible to ceramic pads...is this true?
