Impressed with my car's performance

I was driving home tonight and getting on a fairly lonely freeway. A blue 6.0 GTO was in front of me getting on too. There were no other cars around. So we both got up to about 60 to get to the end of the on ramp. As soon as he hit the freeway, he gunned it. I followed right behind him even though he had the head start. I didn't think he was going to gun it. I stayed with him and started catching up by 120. I shut it down right at 120 but I would have actually gone past. I dont like to race on the street but there were absolutely no other cars but us. Either way, it makes me feel good about how the car is running. I have jb4 and have about 25% e85 in the tank. I just filled up and didn't even do a 3rd gear run or anything yet to let it autotune. So, not sure if I really got any benefits, but the car felt strong. Temp was about 65 out too. Not sure if he had any mods but it was probably stock. Maybe an exhaust. Thought I would share for anyone who hasn't run one and is wondering.

Must be nice to be able to do pulls on lonely vegas roads. I swear there are never any open roads in my part of the bay.

What do FBO GTOs run trap-speed-wise? It can't be much more than 112-113.

And as a qualifier, FBO means bolt-ons; hence no cam upgrades.

FBO GTOs are ~475 hp/tq. The 6.0 is an LS2 engine and the tuning capability of all LS engines are well known. Short of super/turbo-charging the 6.0 can push low-mid 500s.

Probably not modded. If anything, maybe exhaust. It was loud and it smelled terrible. Either way, I was excited to catch up to a stock 6.0.
