How different will my e90 drive if I go from 16' wheels to 18'.

Hey guys I own a 07' BMW 328i and was wondering what are some things to consider when going from 16' wheels to 18' wheels. The wheels Im looking at are 2 lbs more then my 156 style wheels that came with my 3 series. I don't know crap about cars, so I'm just wondering how will the drive change if it will?

It all depends on the quality of the wheels. Here are some possibilities:

Decrease in MPG
Turning is not as crisp
Wobble at high speeds (if not balanced properly)
More prone to cracking (depends on manufacture process)
Car feels heavier in turns

Not sure what wheels you went with but if you are willing to spend a little there are some inexpensive options out there that will help you shed a few lbs in weight per wheel and look good, while still upgrading the size.

Generally speaking increases in diameter and a lower profile tire will result in better handling and faster steering response, improved cornering grip and road feel but a stiffer ride.
