How to change beep sound on incomming calls

I have an e92 coupe without idrive. I have my blackberry paired with the car and it works great, however when I get a call the car makes a horrible beep sound. Is there anyway to change from a beep to another less annoying sound.

That's weird. Mine sounds like a phone ringing when I get a call. I assume it's iDrive versus non-iDrive?

Is it even possible to change the sound of the ring through i-drive. I have never really tried all that hard. But I have basically explored all menu's in i-drive and I have not seen anything that would change the ring tone.

I do not have the iDrive, and my phone makes a "ringing" noise when a call is incoming....maybe it is a blackberry thing?????

I have idrive... mine sounds like a phone ringing... BUT... if I get a call just as the system is syncing with my phone (when I first get in the car) sometimes the ring is dramatically different and then it switches back to the original ringing in mid-ring.

I have iDrive, an e90, and an LG phone - sounds like a standard ring tone to me as well.

cant change it. I bet its the same sound but he does not think it sounds like a ring. It sounds the same for idrive and non idrive cars.

On the Sony Ericssons, the car should play the ringtone set on the phone- perhaps it just doesn't work with the blackberry?

FWIW, I use a Blackberry with my E90. As I posted above, it sounds like a phone ringing when it rings in the car. My BB "ring tone" is just vibrate and beep quietly, nothing like what the car does.

So was it decided that this cannot change? Mine sounds like a horn from a small French car when it rings. Tres annoying.

Mine uses the ringtone that is set on the phone (CTU ring from 24!)

Could it be the profile setting in your phone. Once it connects with the car, does you phone switches to a different profile?
