Steering Wheel replacement help

I'm trying to take off my old steering wheel and I tried to follow the DIY, but I can not find the spot to push out hte airbag with the screw driver.

And I was looking at the steering wheel and mine but it seems like there's no way to get to the air bag clip.

Mine is the one with paddle shifters. Is there a difference from what I've been reading and youtubing?

You need to find the little slits on the sides of the steering wheel. If you push the screwdriver into them just right you'll feel it hit a spring clip and that side will pop out.

yeah I found the slit that goes around the wheel, but even a long bladed knife I could not find it.
Even looking at the replacement steering wheel, I don't see how the metal base would even give me access to the clips.

It is not a slit...there are two holes that are covered with material the same color as the wheel. You can see where they are located due to the dimple in the skin covering the hole. Once you find it you'll see how easy it is to release the air bag. GL

OOOOOh. I saw those dimples. So I do have to puncture a hole through there. And thanks for the link! I dunno why I haven't seen this DIY yet seen the others. Thank you!
