He is admitting his mistaken initial criticisms of Bangle's work. Also, the 6 and 5 sereis have grown on him.

And, the current 3 series design could have been more bold thus putting it out of contention of hate it now, love it later that all polarizing designs engender.

I disagree with him a lot, but he is spot on here. Who doesn't want a bold car!?

Clarkson loves Jag and AM. You will be hard pressed to find a negative word said about those manufacturers, but he is just pandering to the domestic market.

But yeah, everything Clarkson says should be taken lightly. Most of it's aimed at getting a rise out of people. He's always been anti German, but he finds Jag (all but destroyed by Ford) to be a fine car?? It makes no sense.

Why does everyone get so worked up about what reviewers think of their car? They're just opinions, nothing more.

When there's a review that prasies the 335i, it's gospel. When there's a review that's negative it's BS. YOU bought the car cause YOU like it, who cares that not everyone feels the same way. It would be pretty boring if everyone liked the same car, there would be no options.

Bottom line, quit worrying about what everyone else thinks of your car. Enjoy it and be happy.

On another note, I never understood Jeremy Clarkson's love towards Jag's. If he thinks the E93 335i is boring, the Jag should be downright comatose. Of course this is why I never put to much faith into what reviewers think.

Anyway, sorry bout the preachy nature of this post, just something I've noticed since joining this forum.
