Will 18x8.5 ET20 square setup fit 335i?

Thinking about moving to a 335i or 135i after selling my M3, but i have a square set of VMR VB3 18x8.5 ET20 wheels with Dunlop winters on them that I'd like to keep. Will they fit the 335i (both sedan and coupe)? What about the 135i? I realize it's not the correct forum for that, but hoping someone knows anyway.

I'm pretty sure they will, but I wanted to verify before holding onto them since the M3 buyer wants them.

the 335 should fit. I have et 30 on an 8.5 right now up front and could potentially go to a 20 if i was lower and had a slightly more stretched tire up front. The rear will be fine.

18x8.5 et20, squared should fit on any non-M e90/e92. The stock wheels are 18x8 et34(front) and 18x8.5 et37(rear) for 335s. I'm currently running 18x8.5et20, 18x9.5et22 on my e90 328i(stock zsp suspension) w/ no problems what so ever. Only thing to keep in my though is that you'll need to have just a bit of a stretch up front in order prevent rubbing.

I think it could work on the 335i with winter tires since they are skinny.

With the 1 series 135i I wouldn't even try. Normally offsets need to be around ET40 for 225 tires and there isn't 20mm space to spare.

Has a better chance of fitting a 3 series than a 1 series. This size and offset is not exactly ideal for a winter setup. You would generally want a more narrow wheel and a more tucked in fitment to keep more salt and sand spray inside the fender well (and off your cars paint).

I'm running 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with all season tires on a 335xi and it drives fine.

I don't quite understand - more offset would push the wheel out farther, right? So the ET20s should sit very well inside the wheel well, I would think.

Also, tires are 235/40/18. Make any difference?

Lower the offset = Wheel sits more towards the fender
Higher the offset = Wheel sits more towards the suspension components.

Thanks again for the responses. I think I read before that most people were assuming I was using 225 tires, but they're actually 235s. Would this extra width push me over the edge from "go" to "no go"?
