Engine coolant low
I had this warning come on about 2 months ago so I filled the res up to max with bottled water (didn't have time to get BMW coolant). Anyway I'd planned to get coolant sorted in future but the warning light has come on again today. Surely I can't have gone through all the water in the engine so soon? Is it leaking from somewhere or is it coz I didn't use proper coolant?
The engine hasn't ever been any hotter than usual.

The things I dislike with these cars and under trays is that if you have a leak its so difficult to spot a leak. If you can get the under tray off and leave it overnight after a drive to see if there is a leak

+1 on 335i
Have you actually looked under the bonnet to spot any signs of leakage?

I have the same problem and I have noticed there is a puddle under the car on the driveway.
Any idea on what the costs would be to have this fix?
