hey mate, i have fitted 12mm spacers on my rears and no issues at all, could have got bigger spaces but a little weary on the reliability of the load on the spacers/extended bolts
some people will say its fine, some people will say dont go bigger than 15mm but its completely down to you dude! like i said im running 12mm and it gives it a nice enough look! i am happy with it

Do you need to redo wheel alignment after fitting spacers, think I have read its essential but can't really see it myself. Thinking of fitting spacers to the X5 when it gets the winter wheels and tyres as they sit in a lot more than current setup.

it just depends, if you are changing wheels and adding spacers i would say you would need to get it re-alligned but after just adding spacers i doubt it! i didnt and mine seems to be ok! spacers been on for about 6months now!

Tyso, this is what 10mm front and 15mm rear looks like on 18" wheels. I tried 20mm at the rear but they stuck out too far in my view. I wanted the 'flush with the edge of the wheel arch' look..

Phil, nice colour car dude
Tyso, this is my rear with 12mm, not the best pic but gives you an idea, ultimately it also depends on what your offset on your rimz are! post up a close of pic of your rear and also you can check yourself how much space you actually have.. i could have got a 20mm spacers on mine and it would have been spot on but just not personally keen on running such a big spacer on a daily

I'm looking to go to 12mm on my e92 with 19" 230s on.
Will take pics when I do. My only concern is that it may push the front too far out. |

do you reckon 15mm spacers would be ok then?

I think your offsets are front 8j ET37 Rear 9j ET39 not sure though.
i would run 12mm spacers all round and run wider tyres especially on the rear to fill it out more and for better grip. If your running a 255 tyre which you probaly are then you may be able to fit 15mm on the rear but id guess it would be close.
