Finally ! 335i SE Coupe
Well after months of searching for the right car and nearly giving up hope and sticking with a Merc...finally put the deposit down on a 335i SE Coupe Petrol.
Only 2 things I think I need immediately are : 1. M3 boot lip spolier 2. Front Aero lip/spolier Now I've been trying to figure out where I can purchase both from and see many of you have used SSDD ? I don't want to spend too much as I have just bough the car...but some things are just a must (sure the wife will agree !). Car is Petrol, Black, 49K on the clock with Full Main Steeler history. An advice on where to purchase the 2 bits from and whether I should have them painted first and how hard it is to fit ? Re the Aero front lip - Do I just need to purchase an add on part, or would I need a complete front new bumper ? Advice on how hard it id to fit would also be appreciated.... Should be picking the motor up on Saturday and just can't wait !!! Picture below...will of course post some better ones,, once I get the car and start modding slightly!! Thoughts / Comments all appreciated ! |

I am also looking at an M3 spoiler which I think a few people have used ebay, about £50 painted and an easy fit. The aero spoiler is prob best to get a good fitting one and give it to a bodyshop.

Good looking motor mate
SSDD sell both the items you're after: http://www.ssdd-motorsport.com/ They'll supply the lip spoiler painted but not sure on the front aero lip. Good luck and be sure to post some photos when they're fitted. |

Aero front is just an add on bit, stick and screws to original bumper. Great debate always on here as to whether to go for an original or copy part, I went for original and never regretted it, fit is excellent and I have yet to see a copy one that fits well.
I let my bodyshop fit it, can't imagine its too tricky a DIY but best to let them get on with it. Couple of other mod suggestions ......... M Sport steering wheel and M Sport side skirts :-) |

Thanks all.. can't wait to pick it up.
Will check to see how much I can get the aero front lip, see if I can get some trade discount. Re bootlip - I have seen on fleebay painted...may just opt for that and order one tonight!!! M3 skirts may have to wait for a little while..one thing at a time. Will see if I can see one of the forums - that someone might want to sell. |

Also - I am transferring my plate over. Fomat of the plate will bw X7 ABC. Do you think it will look better with a smaller plate rather than the standard sized plates. Standard font - but just a smaller plate?

Great car... mod bug will bite you hard! SSDD sell both M3 rear spoiler and front aero lip with great quality and customer service! The more you browse it the more you'll familiarise yourself with it and probably end up lighter in pockets .. Enjoy the beast!

Jeez that looks stunning! Black shines so well after a nice detail! Good Job! Yep Aero Lip would be great but I'm holding out for mine til after winter! Last thing you want is to damage it in the crappy weather but otherwise looks superb mate! Subscribed

That sounds like a sensible choice....wait until after winter. Have you any ideas on where to purchase it ? SSDD ?

Like many others on here, I got my lip spoiler from eBay seller bc.moto for £40 painted. Great quality and delivered in within 5 days.
Nice car. The paintwork looks stunning after the detail. Enjoy. |

I paid £125 for the Stage 1 detail. 5 hrs of cleaning. I can PM you details of the chap I used if you like....although he has just increased his price to £150.
May just wait for Winter to pass by and then get the Aero lip. Now I just have to maintain the cleaning !!

Personalyl I found SSDD's price too high on that one. M Style in Essex sell it for about £130 unpainted. A decent paint + fit job for about £70 - £100 and you've got yourself a steal. I know why people go for genuine, I probably won't, again each to his/her own. |
