Folding Mirror Extends Too Far: Covered Under CPO?

My driver mirror started to fold out all the way (~170 degrees). I already tried "resetting it" by folding it in, then manually unfolding and refolding to no avail.
Now I am wondering if it will be covered under CPO.
Seems like whatever pressure mechanism that tells the mirror to stop folding has failed. As far as I am concerned, nothing ever hit the mirror.

I'm not Mr. BMW, but I would definitely be sure that I paid nothing but the $50 deductible.
