My first ever Nurburgring trip (18th - 20th August 2012) - story inside :)))
Hey all,
First of all, beeing 45 years old I need to admit I have missed so much. As they say - better later than never We have organised the trip with my son (the main guy lol) We met with our German friends - Meyer (motorbiker) and Waldemar with his wife (Golf 3 1.8L). We all spent greatest racing moment in our lives ! You just need to be there to feel the atmosphere, excitement and other fantastic factors ! We are meeting next year with more of our friends coming to the event By that time I will have M3 E90 or 335i E90 M-Sport for even better moments to be remembered If you think you are a great driver and you have never been to the Nurburgring, think again lol :P We have around 40 videos and 200 photos. Here are some of the photos starting from the begining of the trip (petrol station in Manchester) : I found our car at the footage of Nurburgring track entrance camera : My son had 2 laps and I had 2 laps myself We were taking it very easy as it was our first time, but anyway the 320d SE is a economical and family car. It is not a race car in any aspect ! Even 335i is not I would say lol I experienced what M-Division represents ohhhhhh M cars were the best on the track !!! If you have never been, then start saving the money :P Kind Regards.

Just 4 laps! Can't belive you didn't do more
First time I went I ended up doing 20 laps over 4 days (2 full days 2 evening sessions) as it was just so addictive. But I bet you loved it and are wishing you were still there / planning the next one already Dave

It is so addictive - the most amazing playground for men in the world. From now on we need to be there once a year. Next year we will drive M3 or 335i - it has been planned ! Hope to meet you there Dave. Quote:
I tried to finish the lap, that was the main task lol !!! Uhhhh, maybe 12 minutes I would like to be on Dale's Bridge To Gantry times : http://bridgetogantry.com/2/index.php/btg-laptimes Dino did a great lap in his E90 320d 177HP M-Sport of 9min30sec : Here is a guy with remapped E90 320d to 200HP with BTG 9min21sec : Now I know the power in not everything. The suspension, tyres/wheels and brakes are most important. Thats what I mean : Regards.

Nice one Matrez, glad you had a great time. The Nurburgring is an immense place and the experience is a wonderful one.
I have not been for a few years now (2009 the last time) but was supposed to be next weekend but now cannot make it. (anyone want to go and take my slot?)
