Light spray

Why didnt you leave a clear strip on the rear right?

Does look good though!

It's lamin-x film not spray as I wanted to be able to remove it if it looked crap.

The clear strip is on the right rear - the picture doesn't show it very well.

Very pleased with it as it matches the standard red bit very well.

Improves the look of the car hugely IMO and miles better than black lines.

Great mod!

I did it as well. And I shaped it as per LCI tail light.
+ got it x-lamin wrapped.

Did you by any chance paint the rear diffuser? I know this is not the £11 mod hehe but the diffuser seems darker than normal.

Looks good. Did you buy direct from lamin-x? http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/shop/red.htm
Did you cover the whole unit or just the white reverse light section?

I got the film directly from lamin-x

http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/shop/red.htm

I have only covered the reverse light part not the whole light, the film is much thicker than i expected but makes it easy to apply.

Took me about 10mins to do both lights.

Fitting just requires cleaning the lens with soapy water and then apply the film, i then used a stanley knife to trim around the edges and the reverse light cut out.

This may be a stupid question... But I'll ask anyway... Did you have to take the lense off and fit inside the light housing? Or does it just go on the outside?

If on the outside, how big is the 'lip' if its thicker than you thought?

It sticks on the outside of the lense. Best to take the lense off to fit.

There is a lip but only noticeable if you run your finger along the light.

Looks OK on a black car but I'm well happy with Blacklines on my LeMans Blue car.

Robin, just looking at the sizes on the lamin-x site. Was the 12x8" sheet enough for the two lights? Ta

I got the 12x8 and i had enough left to do 1 more light so it's the best size in case you balls it up first time.
