BMW oem sun blinds for E91
Has anyone got the sun blind kit for an E91?
Was thinking of getting the windows tinted, but wondered what these were like as a different option! |

I had mine tinted when I got my latest purchase as have used the rear sunblinds before. For some stupid reason I nearly always press the back window switch when wanting to lower the front window unless I look at what I am doing. Result with the sunblinds is they rip the suction cups off the bling making them useless. Save your money and get the windows tinted.
I think mine are something like a 35% tint which is dark enough with the black head lining and the little one can still see out which keeps him occupied. |

Oh, suction cups? really? ffs! I hated the E91 boot liner because of the stupid suction cups on the windows that never really worked.
Thought they might have been something like these: http://www.nm-motorsport.com/acatalo...un-Blinds.html |

Not sure if the genuine ones use suction cups or not but the cheap supermarket ones we did used them and as I say did not last long. Both cars now tinted.

Just got a price from BMW, apparently the blind kit clips on, and they want £238 for it!
So it costs slightly less to have them tinted! ..... proper tinting it is. |

We've got tints and factory rear door blinds on the tourer.
Having had no tints, but with factory blinds on my previous E90 (and the rear window electric blind), I can say the blinds keep the car much cooler / dimmer than tints. Tints don't really make any difference other than look dark from outside. If you have kids, when the sun is beaming on them thru tints, the blinds are 10 times better at blocking heat and brightness. BTW BMW accessory blinds clip on without suckers so you can open the windows while they're on. Last edited by doughboy; 08-20-2012 at 05:29 PM.. |

Looks very good, Only think there told me what a lot of people don't do/forget is about 1 week later u need to run your finger over the dotted matrix to get perfect look, As i was leaving there had just picked up a brand new land rover 62 plate to be tinted
