You mean the BMW badge on the steering wheel. Wish you had just said that. Things get dented mate, carrying shit in and out of the car etc

I think the badge is self-adhesive and, therefore, easily replaceable.
Not suggesting you want a 'carbon-look' one, but they're obviously available by virtue of this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-CARBON-A...sr=1-2-catcorr Have a Google shop around. |

The badge itself has three prongs into the airbag cover and it's effectively stuck. If you try to remove it you may damage the cover.
Just buy a stick on replacement. |

I have thought of that, but if I stick something over an already dented badge, surely the new one will have the same effect (if stuck properly?).
Or are the stick on badges more rigid than I'm thinking? |

For the sake of a few quid, why don't you just buy one. You'll then know what you're dealing with and whether or not the old one is rigid enough to sustain gentle prising in order to remove it. You'll also discover if it has locating tabs/pins or not.

It's amazing what you can find without pushing the bounds of initiative; here you go: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-Genuine-...201374&sr=8-14

Fair enough, but at least my first attempt was for a steering wheel badge. Guess I can't get it right all the time; pardon my interest
