Code reading

Guys,

Anyone know a quick way to read the ECU codes on a 330d.

I have used the likes of VAG Com when I have Audis. I think I got a bust injector. Lumpy tick over, loud ticking from engine and a bit slow to 2000 rpm.

Any ideas how to find out what's wrong?

I have always used INPA on my BMWs. I also use DIS/GT1 if you want your diagnostics a little more detailed. Usually INPA is sufficient.

Contact 'jimmy' on www.bmw5.co.uk, tell him I sent you

there are a few cables you can buy
BT - Bavarian Technic - which I think you can buy from overseas only (pm neil@juiced tuning)

yu can buy leads off ebay that come with software - INPA/DIS (latter pain to install) whchi will give you the ability to read and clear codes

I have recently purchased a cable off eBay with the software and can vouch for them being a pain in the arse to install and use.
However I have successfully done it, and have cleared codes after recently changing some parts on my car.

Yes, DIS can be a real pain to install, but ultimately worth it

Can't answer your question.
But I don't mind hooking your car up and reading codes for you.
I'm near j5 of the m4 if it's any good for you.
