Wheel and tyre advice 320d

Hi

Today I noticed that one of the tyres on my car was a non run flat (it was bought with these tyres on) so I went to a local fitter and had a run flat fitted. When I got home I wanted to check prices so put in my registration number in to various tyre websites and the recommended tyres were 225/45/r17. My wheels are 16" and 205/55/r16. My car is a 2008 320d se so I'm just wondering if the wheels that it originally came with have been changed? Did all the 320d's come with 17" wheels?

Also on another note what are the recommended tyre pressures?

Cheers guys

Sorry just found it. After a quick google it was fitted with 16's from new. Is it okay to run slightly higher tyre pressures to the ones BMW recommend?

Also I have 2 tyres with about 3.5mm tread on. The fitter put both these on the front and the the 2 newer tyres on the rear. I thought this would be right being a rear wheel drive but I'm not 100% sure now. Anyone give advice?

Cheers

This is fine - rears wear quicker than fronts so rotating them means you can stretch out the life.
