325i 2007 Mot
What should I expect BMW to find wrong with a 5 yr old 30,000 mile 325i ,
The tyres all have 5 to 6 mm so they should be ok . Would it be sensible to have the disks and pads checked before it goes in at the end of the month. TIA |

IMO never take your car to a dealer for an MOT!! May as well start bending over now
MOT is a statutory safety test, nothing to do with manufacturers, no car specific knowledge or tools are required. Just go to your local small garage, better service, no interest in selling you pricey OE parts, and most will have a quick look first and advise of issues. Remember, you can go up to 1 month early and still get it dated from the due date, this gives you time for fixes etc. BMW often offer cheap MOTs, why? so they can shaft you on parts / servicing you don't need 'while you're here sir..' I wouldn't expect to find anything wrong. maybe check your tyre walls for any bumps or damage. That should be it - should be mechanically fine at that age to sail through.
I agree with the previous poster to avoid the dealer and take it in before expirey |
