Slashed Tires
Hey everyone
I woke up today to find that 3 of the 5 tires on my '10 Jeep Rubicon had been slashed overnight. I've spent all morning trying to find the most affordable fix, and have come to the conclusion that paying the deductible on my insurance ($500) will have to suffice. The question here is: Is there some way I can convince my insurance to replace all 5 tires instead of only the 3 slashed ones? The Jeep has 23,400 miles on it so could I maybe make the argument that the 2 untouched tires would be too worn out in comparison to the new ones therefore making balancing, rotations, and alignments difficult? Thanks for the help/advice in advance!!! |

I doubt your insurance co. is going to care about the 2 tires that were untouched. Insurance is for damaged or stolen property.
But hey, if you can figure out how to swing it, good on ya! Sorry to hear about the vandalism - people suck! Hope you get it sorted soon. |

insurance companies rob us of enough money every year to justify just telling them that all 5 were slashed. if they end up coming to verify, just slash the other 2 and get 5 new tires anyways...

Cut me some slack though. It was EARLY in the morning, I was throwing out the trash when I saw the damage, my brain wasn't up to speed yet. |

Can't you find a place that you can buy 3 get one free? Take the better of the 2 that are not damaged and use that one for your spare. Unless you have some giant tires on your jeep I don't think they have deals on those.
