The E350 is about as boring as a 50K+ coupe can get. In all honesty, I'd rather just go for a 335xi for a whole ton less than that.

The obvious choice in this segment is the S5 though, especially now that it has the 3.0T in it.

S5 will be my choice or GTR if you can find one with low miles for around $60-70k.

C63 coupe (although a new one will be closer to 80k), or the new S5 coupe! I would say M3 coupe... But the new one will be out soon.

I wouldnt buy a used gt-r... You never know how the previous owner drove a car like that.

I wouldn't get the MB e350. My mom has the E550 and although it is a great car and extremely powerful... It's just not fun to drive. Quite boring even with 402hp and 443lb/ft of torque... I can image the E350 being even more boring due to the lack of power

There's a bit of a struggle with reading comprehension here.

Let me reiterate, the OP said he wanted an AWD COUPE.

C63 Black Series... not AWD
STi... not a coupe
Evo X... not a coupe
C63... not AWD
M3... not AWD

To throw one more into the ring for ya' OP, the TT-RS (if you can find one) would fit your bill pretty perfectly. Cargo is a bit limited and if you're looking at an E-Class you probably don't care much for a manual transmission, but holy lord is that thing ever an immaculate machine, about as much fun as you can have in a car in this class. Might be worth a look for you.

my sister has an 09 S5. she loves it but does think my car is more fun. the s5 is very much a GT car and not a sports car.

Ah yes, the ol' 1-series x-drive...

OP, I'd say if you can, spring for the new S5 rather than a slightly used one. That fantastically capable supercharged 6 was only implemented in MY13, the old 4.2 V8 just doesn't quite live up to it IMHO.

Don't get me wrong, the old S5 was still a great car, just not quite so enthusiast oriented. New or old, they are both still gorgeous cars.
