Gun Rack for the E92

Guys,

In Kanada, we are required to lock up our rifles when driving. Do you guys have any recommendations for a lockable rifle case that will fit in the E92 Coupe's trunk with out folding down the seat?

I realize this thread may be odd but if you guys have any suggestions for a hard lockable case that would fit in the BMW, please let me know.

I thought about calling BMW but I suspect they wouldn't have such an accessory.

Gun Rack

Would'nt locked in the trunk in a regular soft gun case be legal? Or the little tiny locks used on luggage zippers on a regular gun case?

No offence but I hear you canucks lock up your guns but always leave your front doors unlocked?

Pelican is always a good place to start, I'd check out their website, and BMW does provide some nice anchors in the trunk to simplify things.

Also GALLS Supply might have something, I've done a lot of buying from them in the past. Various things... :rocks:

Me? I usually just ride with mine slung across the passenger seat... Or on the dashboard...

Don't let Michael Moore fool you....we lock our doors.

Last time I checked the rules, they need a hardcase.

My ADG 2x rifle case fits in my E90 trunk and it meets new Homeland Security laws (airline) - not sure it if would fit in an E92 but check their website for dimensions.

Thats only for air transport. Soft case is legal but with the same scenario with pistols in terms of ammo is concerned. It need to be in a seperate compartment of the vehicle than the rifle.

Dude, have you not seen?

BMW makes a part for the E90 that mounts where the skibag goes... it holds an MP5... then you press a button in the front, and it extends the rack between the front seats, giving you immediate access to your previously hidden MP5.

DO IT. post a DIY.

Unless he builds rifles at his house or has his own gun range, i'm guessing it's to either take the gun home from the store or go to the gun range? Either that or maybe he's about to get even with someone that cut him off in traffic but wants to keep it all on the 'up and up'.

Well, how the hell else would you get it to the range to shoot it? I mean, come on, are you really that dense?

Yes, but then you'd have to file a Form 1 with the ATF and pay $200 to make your E90 an AOW (Any Other Weapon.) Wait, that would only apply if you could fire the MP5 from the car. Maybe I could rewire the "voice command" button.....

Hmmm......

Post up some pics after you have your gun rack organised so we can see how it looks in a e92.
