Cracking Noise when opening Driver door...
since yesturday, everytime I open my driver door on my coupe a cracking noise happens after the first pull and another when you pull the door full way. Obviously this is not normal...but has any1 had this happen to them ???

I suggest you either stand further away when opening the door or wear a cup.

try to pinpoint the noise and see where its coming from.

you know when you open the door there's the first stop and then if you open more, you'll get the final stop? well its making a cracking noise on both places and coming from where the door & car panels meet.

I probably have same problem, pressing in certain areas around where the noise eminates makes the clicking sound wane. My passenger side is much worse, fortunately, I don't open that door much.
The SA acknowledged it was bad and could be repaired, but another long job that might result in new rattles. |
