Have just had my 328 for 2 weeks and I am already thinking that the 335 would have been an even more wonderful option (better auto tranny and more uumpf)...

How much has the car depreciated over 600 miles? Maybe change again?

328 is a good car, I always find myself wondering if I would have been happy saving 6 grand and getting the 328... its a good car, still has plenty of "uumpf". Just dont test drive a 335, until your ready to sell

the 328i is a great car...question always is when compared to a 335i is, do you really need the extra ooomph? sure its nice to have but......always a but

The 328i is a great car, its as fast as an e36 M3. If you didn't get the 335i originally, you probably didn't think you needed the power or wanted to spend that much money. Its only a car and you will probably forget all about it in a few months once something new comes up in your life. Even the 335i is going to be slow / old / whatever soon, I am sure that the next generation of updated engines will be released in 3 years in time for mid model year re-fresh. Enjoy what you have.

the 335i is not just another car. And the N54 is not just another engine.
Prove to me otherwise, especially since this new powerplant is finding all types of new homes, ie. 535, the new 1er.
In the grand scheme of things yeah you're right, its just a car. But for those that live day to day and want to enjoy the moment- the 335 is more fun over the 328. Its probably not worth it to trade in or sell as you probably lost the difference you were going to see in price between the 328 and 335. Get the M3 and no regrets what so ever!
