E90 M-Sport Shift Knob on an E92?

I have been searching through all the threads I can find on OEM knobs and have not been able to find a definitive answer on this.

I just placed an order for the E90 M-Sport Shift Knob (Part No. 25118036628) and I guess because it comes with a boot, there may be some fitments issues between the E90 and E92?

Can any one confirm that this part will fit an E92? I have heard both yes and no in this forum, and would like to cancel my order if it wont fit, as it was about $150 with shipping.

It should fit, I think I've seen other coupe owners do the swap with this.
