Same old post with a *twist*

Which to buy!!!???!?!?

e90 330i loaded with 5k miles very clean

or

e90 335i with only premium (no sport) low milage

Which to choose??!?!

I know you guys will probably say or "not this again" but I really can't decide. I really want a fast sporty car but both of my options are kinda in the middle. The 330i will be sporty for sure (sport pack) and the 335i will be fast (but how sporty)?

For those with 335i W/O sport... is it still enjoyable? does it feel sporty? is the suspension mushy? do the seats and steering wheel suck? I hear so much bashing on this forum about not having sport package that it scares me I will not be happy without it.

I could really use your input! THANKS!!!

335i no question at all. Drive both and you'll see what I mean. Try and find one with sport, most do...

i'd honestly say i would take the 330... if i wanted a fast car i wouldn't have bought a bimmer and with all the hype about the 335 i thought i had to go test it out, and i really wasn't that impressed, probably becase of the standards i had set in my mind from reading reviews...

i preffer options over speed in what is meant to be a luxury car like my car, it is by no means fast, but has all the comfort one could want

to tell you the truth, i am kinda sick of everyone saying you have to have the 335 because "omg man, it goes fast", lol, a monkey can tell you that, but decide for yourself, because it is after all the car you will be driving and have to be happy with, so don't let people you don't know, on a forum, dictate your descision

330. I recently had a 335 without sports package as a dealer loaner. Sure it was fast from a traffic light, but it did not inspire the same confidence in handling turns as my M3 did. I don't know if it was the run flats, or that it didn't have the sports package but I just was not impressed with it's road handling at all.

Most of the bashing comes from owners trying to justify their overpaying for a Sport Package.

Drive both, then you decide. It's your money and your car.

335 = new

330 = more options

Plus, the 330 will run. The 335 will sit on the dealer's service lot waiting for a fuel pump.

nice post.

it really is a choice between luxury/comfort vs performance. For some, their car is another living space where they spend a lot of time commuting in, thus luxury features enhance that experience. For others, all they want to do is get in their car and DRIVE. It's up to you.

oh, and I don't see the 'twist' you speak of, it's the same old "pick a car for me" thread

You definitely have to drive both and pick the one you like. If they are the same price, the 335i will have quite a bit better resale value because it is a model year newer. If they're not the same price, then price may factor into your decision.

FWIW, I'd pick whichever one has the manual transmission. For example, if it is a 335i with AT and no sports package -- sorry, 335i lovers, there's no way in hell I'd pick that over a 330i with sport and MT. You can beat me from stoplight to stoplight all you want, but your car is much less fun to drive.

+10. I kick myself when I think of what I could have done with that $1,000 when I consider that all I got with the sports package were larger, staggered wheels, 8-way power front seats with adjustable back bolsters, 2-way manual headrest and thigh support, driver memory for exterior mirror and seat positions, 3-spoke leather wrapped multi-function sport steering wheel with audio controls and sport suspension calibration.

I could have had a new Playstation and a couple of games or even a nice sports-coat with that money. Dang.
