Any 335i fuel pump failures after say 8k miles?

Sorry for yet another fuel pump questionnaire but I'm just wondering if the pump lasts long enough if you're possibly in the clear....I can't recall seeing any posts from anyone with a higher mileage fuel pump failure.

I'm at 10k miles and no issue yet but am planning a road trip soon.. I always use the same gas station btw and i'm starting to think this may have something to do with my pump's longevity.

Not that many people have that much mileage yet, in a few months we should know whether this is the case or not.

They've been out of almost a year now so I would think more than a few would have that much mileage?

I Just realized the guy with the latest fuel pump failure on here uses shell. blows that theory.

I know 2 people with 335i's personally with over 10K. Shiv's 335i's has over 17k miles. I personally have 7K on mine and I'm REALLY trying not to drive a lot as I put on 30,000 miles on my last car in the 1.5 year of having it.

I'm really eager to know the solution as well. I don't know anyone from this forum who's had a failed pump after 8k miles..I think the most was around 7400 miles.

But just because someone's fuel pump hasn't gone out at 8K miles that's not to say it won't go out later, if it's before they changed to the new design one. I think we can agree that it can go out at anytime that is the bad part about this whole problem.

I had an issue with Sunoco 94 causing longer crank times, switched to Shell 91 and no problems. I haven't heard of a fuel pump failure over 8k miles. I have 14k km now and so far so good.

Hopefully, the NFL kicker rule doesn't apply here. If a field goal kicker makes 30 straight field goals without missing one, then pretty soon the odds...well you know where I'm going with this...

While this is a possibility, Shiv has mentioned that he talked to someone about the fuel pump issues and if it's going to go out, it's going to go out early..which has somewhat been on point since from what I've seen on the board...they all crap at 7k or earlier...especially with using something like the Procede, which utilizes the fuel map.

This is also what I've noticed, hence this thread. I guess time will tell if this is the case. I'm pretty sure there's a bunch of people with over 10k miles on here and it is somewhat telling that there hasn't been a single failure over 8k miles.

If it hasn't failed after 4 years or 50,000 miles, then the HPP should be considered "good" as all car components will eventually fail at some point during a car's life.

Unless, of course, you total your car in an accident.

Were there signs of HPP failure at 4,000 miles, 6,000 miles, or 8,000 miles?

Or the HPP failed out of nowhere during one bad morning?

I've had some long cranks too after heat soak, you brought up a good point, could it possibly be the different fuel distributors that I am using because I haven't stuck to say chevron or shell or 76 I just pump wherever has 91 octane. lately when its hot I mix 100 and 91 to get 93.
