rattle under the car, heard from outside
hey, theres a small rattle made when i slowly accelerate , it ends after maybe 4 seconds of rattle. it sounds like its coming from the bottom of the car, i can hear it with my windows down or if i am not in my car, can't be heard with windows closed.it only makes the sound when i accelerate from around 5-10mph slowly to around 20-25. it only lasts about maybe 3-4 seconds. it happens everytime i accelerate. do any of you also have this problem? if so what is causing the rattle, and how to fix?

I have the same sound. Not sure, then again I need to take it in for servicing. But it hasnt done anything to the vehicle so far.

I remember another thread about a rattle.
Turns out it there is an air duct under the seats and some coins went in it. Could that be your problem?

The link that was posted seems to be the rattle. It may seem that it is coming from somewhere else. It does for me aswell but fairly certain it is just something that isnt tight and bangs up against something.
So again seems Ska has it right.

mine rattled too a little. it turns out it was my simota CAI. i didnt secure it tightly enough and it was rattling against the fan oh and this was like over a year ago...took me a while to figure it out it only happened at low speeds so just make sure you check everything...even though it occured from the very beginning, i remember reading that someone found coins in the center air vent for the rear passengers even though he had never had any backseat passengers

My springs rattle/creak, going over speed bumps in the parking garage. Very audible in the concrete garage, but not noticeable elsewhere.
Is it every time you accelerate, or just after slowing down for a speed bump? |

with regards to the rattle, rattles are funny in that sometimes you think you hear it's coming from somewhere, but it's not, give Ska's rattle fix a go to see if that resolves it, if not, you can look elsewhere to find the trouble spot(s)

inside the cabin? or exterior? if it's in the cabin, then it's likely to be your seat squeaking, the springs underneath the seat may need some oil-up
