NOT the RED Exclamation Point....
Dude, Park it and call the tow truck... Be careful though, sounds like it's ANGRY! OK I'm talking shit. But there should be another little symbol on the cluster somewhere, or run through your checks and see what pops up....

Could be a bunch of stuff, Seat belt not on, something weighty in the passenger seat without a seatbelt, Low fuel, Low Washer Fluid, on and on...

I don't think it would be the red "!" in any of cases you mentioned though...
No seat belt, would be red seat belt sign, low fuel would be yellow gas sign, and so on. But the red "!" is something else. |

If you push the display button it should tell you why there's a !
It comes up with simply taking off your seatbelt there should be information under your driver information if you have iDrive as well |

I would definitely think your tire pressure because it will not show in your BC. Try to check all your tire pressure. If one is off by 5 psi compared to others, you'll get that red !. First, pump some air if it's off. Then initialize your tire pressure monitor and it should be okay. The dealer should re-initialize your tire pressure monitor whenever they remove your wheels.

Dude, it's not. Trust me. It happened to me before. I went through everything in the manual which didn't help because I didn't have idrive. Tire pressure is the only thing not showing in the BC.

I'd check out the tire pressure ideas because the dealership had done something to the tires just before the alarm appeared. Check the tire pressures and balance them as needed according to the pressures listed in the door frame.

- hand break?
- not sure how the e92s show it, but when i turn on dsc on my current car i get a yellow exclamation mark with a circle around it. i'm pretty sure they changed that for the new models though (i can tell you more in about a month )

I also have this red exclamation mark and I'm sure my tires are over inflated. But the question how would the vehicle know the tires are overinflated when I do not have TPMS?

He would have known if it was the hand break cos the hand break red symbol would have been showing also as well as the red exclamation mark. If it is still not showing I doubt it is anything too serious. |

So I took 5 seconds and looked in the manual. In the back there is a list of everything that can come up on the display. So a red triangle with "!" means you are due for service. If it is yellow just means the engine will start with the next push on the start/stop button. pg. 150 of my manual "3 Sedan/sports wagon US-En"
